Crochet Care Guide

Handmade crochet pieces can stay beautiful for a long time when handled gently. Care requirements can vary by yarn and product type, so ask Ayzalo on WhatsApp if you are unsure about a specific item.

General Care

  • Keep crochet products away from excessive moisture, open flame, and high heat.
  • Avoid pulling loose threads, individual loops, petals, or decorative details.
  • Keep light-coloured items away from surfaces that may transfer dye.
  • Store decorative pieces in a clean, dry place when not in use.

Dust and Light Cleaning

For decorative flowers and amigurumi pieces, remove light dust using a soft brush or gentle cool air. Spot clean carefully where suitable for the yarn.

Hand Cleaning

For washable mats or textile-style products, use cool or lukewarm water and a mild detergent only when the product is suitable for washing. Do not scrub aggressively. Reshape the item while damp and dry it flat or in its intended shape.

Avoid Machine Drying

Unless a product specifically states otherwise, avoid tumble drying, bleach, and high-temperature ironing because heat and agitation can affect yarn, shape, and decorative elements.

Flower Bouquets

Keep crochet bouquets dry, support the stems when moving them, and gently reshape petals or leaves if they are compressed during storage or delivery.

Keychains and Charms

Use the metal ring or clasp when attaching or removing a charm. Repeatedly pulling the crochet body can place unnecessary stress on the stitches.

Crochet Lamps and Cable Covers

Keep crochet covers away from excessive heat and moisture. Do not use decorative covers with damaged, frayed, overheating, or unsafe electrical accessories. Stop use immediately if any electrical component becomes unusually hot.
